Budget Beauty: Miss Glam Cosmetics

Hi there

Today want to tell you about a brand exclusive to Clicks Stores called "MISS GLAM"
We all love the pretty shiny makeup at the high end counters like Red Square etc but most times there is as lower end dupe for the colours you want that wont break the bank.

I picked up the Clicks pamphlet while shopping and saw that they where having a beauty sale.  Here is a picture of the Miss Glam advert in the pamphlet:

Prices:
Single eye shadow or squeeze tube lipgloss R19.99
Cheek colour R22.99
Nail Polish R24.99
Liquid foundation R34.99
Wand applicator lipgloss R24.99
Lipstick R19.99
Eye and blush palette R34.99 (5 eye shadows and a blush)

The first thing that caught my eye was the prices "From R19.99", and wondered how good or bad could they be at that price.  There where lots of well known brands on sale at really reduced prices so knew I would not leave empty handed or disappointed.  So tested / swatched a few this from Miss Glam, and this is what I purchased:

Lipstick - Honey
Lip gloss- Revenge, Like Nectar and Kisses
Blush -  Brazen in Bronze
Single eyeshadow - K. Moss
Eye & blush palette. - In The Nude
Eye & blush palette - Smokey
Quality:
The lip glosses are awesome.  My favourite is Nectar.  There is no unpleasant smell. It applies like a high end lip gloss and I like the packaging of the tube.  I have not used the lipstick yet.

The blush has a sheen to it. There are no shimmers in it but it is more of a highlighter and blush all in one.  It gives a glow to the cheek and has just enough colour payoff.

The K. Moss eyeshadow is a gorgeous green and had to purchase it. I always use an eyeshadow primer under my eye shadows regardless of it being high end or low end so my eye shadows do last the whole day until I decide they must come off.  So I can't comment on the staying power without a primer.

I know that I am going to use the eye and blush palettes often.  They are perfect for traveling with and also when rushing for work in the morning to have your colour options in one place in a compact palette.
In The Nude has your everyday neutral earthy colours.
Smokey has a more nighttime or party colours.  You could go from a workday and smoke it out for a night out after work with the Smokey palette.

I unfortunately did not pick up and of the nail polishes as I already had all / most of the colours at home from various brands.
There where lots of single eye shadows but again I had most of the colours at home in palettes.
I think there where two more eye and blush palettes besides the ones I purchased.
So in closing, I definitely think its worth checking out.  I was very pleased with the cosmetics I purchased.

Thanks for reading.
