Birthday week haul

I celebrated my birthday this week and was not looking forward to becoming a year older.  I ended up having a great day!  I had soo many birthday wishes on Facebook from friends and family, which I took the time to thank each one who wished me well on my birthday.
I received some gifts and others I purchased throughout the week myself so I am doing a birthday week haul to show what I received.

The first two gifts where from a friend who took me out to dinner on my birthday after work which I thoroughly enjoyed.
She gave me a stunning Guess watch from a store called Lacosmogirl- picture below.

My friend also gave me a Guess purse from Lacosmogirl which I needed and had my eye on.  I just love it!
It has two compartments. I finally have a purse that holds all my cards. The second side holds up to three phones or an iPod etc.  I have two phones, so I was thrilled when I received it.  It also comes with a chain to convert it into a bag which is convenient when going out at night and I don't want to carry a big bag, but have all my essentials with me. It even has a space for my ID.

 The next gift is chocolates from the ladies in my office.  Ferrero Rocher, Beacon and another one which is
 still in the wrapper.  I am going to enjoy these over Easter.

The Beacon chocolates came in a gift bag with 5 makeup bags in a cream colour, in different sizes.  I needed a new makeup bag so I was happy to get these as a gift.  These are from Lacosmogirl.

The next is a Polo bag from Lacosmogirl who was having a sale on their bags. I have wanted a Polo bag since Christmas.  I am terrible at not changing my bags even though I have a kangaroo keeper so I can change bags easily.  I have been over using my Chanel bag and needed a change.  I just love my new bag.

 

With the purchase of a bag at Lacosmogirl,  you get a pair of free branded sunglasses.  BONUS!!  I love their sunglasses and was due for a new pair so I chose these Ray Ban sunglasses as my free gift.

I used up the last of my favourite nude pink lipstick from Essence so I went to Clicks to look for my shade in 50 Creamy Nude.  I could only find 52 "In The Nude" which is slightly lighter. It seemed like creamy nude was replaced with in the nude. Although it was lighter I decided to try it anyway since Essence lipsticks are so affordable and good quality.

The next day my sister went to Estee Lauder and purchased some products who give fantastic GWP's (gift with purchase).  From a previous gwp, she gave me the advanced night repair serum and advanced night repair eye treatment. Estee Lauder has quality products and their samples are generous (about 6 or 7 products) which last a long time.  With her current purchase she gave me Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara (I love their mascaras), and a lipstick in the shade Crystal Baby Creme.  She also gave me the Estee Lauder makeup bag that the free gifts come in. Yay.

Mac cosmetics have a "back to Mac" policy where you return any six empty Mac containers and you receive a free lipstick.  So I returned the six empty Mac containers and chose a lipstick.  I love Mac lipstick.  They stock a variety of finishes in their lipstick range eg. Lustre,  creme sheen, matte etc.  I normally go for the shade Jubilee which is a peachy nude, but I wanted something with a bit more staying powder but not matte with more colour payoff.  So I chose a lipstick with an Amplified Creme finish in the shade Fast Play.  I am looking forward to using this lipstick.

 

I received an E-mail from Edgars earlier in the week about the new Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation. I really liked their last foundation which was the Healthy Mix Foundation so I was happy to try it out.  Also the fact that Bourjois is owned by Chanel is a plus. Chanel launched the perfection Lumière foundation and now Bourjois has their 123 Perfect foundation.  It was the same situation with Vita Lumière Aqua from Chanel and Healthy mix foundation from Bourjois.  I took the shade no. 54 as well as a sample to use in natural light the next day.  I can return the sealed bottle if the sample does not work for me, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will work for me.

I also qualified for a free gift from Bourjois which is their 1001 CILS 1001 LASHES mascara in Black quartz shown in the picture above.  I received a tube of this mascara in my December 2011 Glambox so I have already tested this mascara out and like it very much.


Lacosmogirl is one of my favorite stores and  I am glad my gifts where purchased from there.  Last year alot of my gifts which was mostly jewellery, where purchased form Lacosmogirl as well because my friends and family know how much I like their items.  If you like good quality items and friendly service, then check the store out.  They often have sales and gift with purchases.  Bags, jewelry, makeup, a few clothing items, gifts, nail art etc is what you can expect at this lovely store.
